Polo Burgos is the founder and president of IV God and IV the Poor, Inc. Born and raised in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, he has built his life around faith, service, and a deep commitment to people experiencing poverty and hardship. His leadership reflects a simple conviction: compassion must become action, and every person deserves to be treated with dignity, hope, and respect.
Drawing on a law-enforcement career that began in 2007, Polo brings discipline, responsibility, and a strong sense of public service to the organization. He has helped lead backpack drives, donations, community outreach, and humanitarian projects supporting children and families, including initiatives in the Dominican Republic.
Polo serves as a pastor, mentor, and community leader, guided by the spiritual calling at the heart of his work. He encourages young people, supports families, and inspires others to use their faith and abilities in service to those most in need.
